Every family has its script.
Ours came with unspoken rules, inherited silences, and the kind of love that could hold you and cut you in the same breath.
Ben and I grew up in the same house, same parents, same storm.
But we learned different ways to survive it. He went still. I went invisible. Both of us wore masks so well we forgot they weren’t skin.
The Sibling Files is what happens when we start pulling those masks off — in real time, on mic, without the tidy arc of “before and after.”
It’s the in-between. The unfinished. The part where you’re still bleeding a little and not sure if you’re ready to tell the truth out loud… but you do it anyway.
We’re not here to fix the past or hand out “how to heal your family” checklists.
We’re here to:
- Name the myths we were raised inside of.
- Trace the threads of generational patterns — and decide which ones end with us.
- Laugh at the absurd shit we believed.
- Sit in the grief of what will never be.
Some episodes are heavy. Some are ridiculous. All of them are honest.
If you’ve ever felt too far from your family to belong, or too close to breathe, you might find yourself in these conversations.
We’re not experts. We’re just finally saying this shit out loud.
